Description: Location of each place of worship throughout Prince George's County, Maryland. A place of worship is the location and building where a congregation gathers for worship, not including locations and buildings that are annexes, rectories, vestries, religious schools (both day and private schools), cemeteries, clergy residences, religious non-profits, seminaries, religious counseling services, or places that only provide certain religious services, such as wedding and/or funerary services.Mapped locations are based on the religious institution’s advertising and there may be instances where the congregation gathers for worship at a different location or building on the property.Each place of worship location was verified through one or more of the following methods: seeing it in street view in Cyclomedia and/or Google Maps, the place of worship's website, and/or receiving an answer from contact with the place of worship. This dataset reflects “best available” information compiled from multiple sources and may contain establishments no longer in business and/or may not reflect newly opened locations. In addition, other non-licensed locations may not be included or represented.

Description: This layer, based off of the 2010 US Census’ Census Designated Places data, depicts a general representation of area names for Prince George’s County. These boundaries are populated places showing generalized municipal named areas and unincorporated areas, which by definition, have no legal boundaries but have names familiar to the residents that live there. These generalized locations of geographic names are recognized by the US. Geographic Survey’s Board of Geographic Names.This layer should not be considered an accurate depiction of boundaries, both Municipal and unincorporated, as they have been generalized to cover the entire County with geographic names.

Description: Park_Parcels was created to store the geometry of all master (non subunit) M-NCPPC parks in Prince George's County, Maryland. The polygon boundaries do not represent park unit boundaries by definition. Instead, each polygon boundary has been developed to represent acquisition/parcel/lot boundaries. Most park units are aggregations of many lots and parcels. The polygon boundaries have a relationship with, but may deviate from, the property layer as developed by M-NCPPC-Planning. The Park_Parcel polygons were developed to respect the surveys and deeds recorded during the acquisition process.
Description: This dataset contains buildings within Prince George's County. Building ruins, buildings under construction, and parking garages are also included. Overhead rooftops, or canopies, are shown with a separate feature code and features running under are not clipped out. Each feature is attributed with height in feet and roof type of either gable or flat. This data was captured for use in general mapping at a scale of 1:1200.
Description: To display the location of Non-Profit organizations in Prince George's County. These locations were compiled by the County's Office of Community Relations and converted to a feature class by OIT-GIS.
