The information used in this application was derived from private studies done by private Consultants. Although Prince George’s County strives to provide the best data available, Prince George’s County does not accept any responsibility for any errors, omissions, or positional accuracy, and therefore, there are no warranties which accompany this information. Although information from different sources have been used in the creation of the flood map layers, in no way shall this information be taken as final, complete, or constitute an accurate floodplain delineation. Users of the information displayed in GIS are strongly cautioned to verify all information before making any decisions. This map depicts approved County 100-year floodplain studied areas, as sources for flood hazard areas. These digital floodplain boundaries are produced in conjunction with the hardcopy and generally match the hardcopy map. It is the responsibility of the applicant to field survey the area to accurately determine floodplain on the property. Prince George’s County cannot be held liable or responsible for any adverse impact or decisions pertaining to the property based on the information provided on this website. The information shown should not be used as the sole source of floodplain information. It does not identify all areas subject to flooding, particularly from local drainage sources of small size. Any streams with a drainage area of 50 acres or more require delineation of 100-year floodplain. If this map does not reflect floodplain for such streams, the user must prepare a new floodplain delineation. |
