Description: The point features represent locations of tree planting sites along county-owned roads. The locations are created by arborists and landscape designers using ArcGIS Collector Application. The tree planting program for these sites is managed by the Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T), Office of Highway Maintenance, and is governed by the Maryland Roadside Tree Law. The purpose is to facilitate the design process for tree replacement done through the Right Tree Right Place Program (RTRP) formerly called the Bradford Pear Tree Replacement Program. The point features were created by landscape designers at the Neighborhood Design Center, and County staff. Maintenance and County staff. Most of these locations were planted in Fiscal Year 2016-2017.
